Plastic-coated production pallets for the Polish concrete elements manufacturer Rak-Bud

In the beginning of 2019 MyWood Sales Director Tobias Schmidt and Marcel Wenta, who is representing the MyWood company in Poland, discussed the possibility of an aquisition of the plastic-coated production pallets UPadvanced, remember Radoslaw Raczkowski, owner of the company Rak-Bud and Bogdan Polinski, Production and Development Director in Rak-Bud. It was important to the company to find an early replacement of the old wooden production pallets, which met the high-quality requirements and harmonized well with the present production conditions, in the beginning of 2021. For example the humidity within the curing rack which can reach up to 90 %. After the meeting in Warsaw, the decision to obtain a larger number of test-production pallets from MyWood was made, in order to test them within the actual production process.  The advantages and characteristics of the UPadvanced, which were communicated by MyWood, have been confirmed completely. After an intensive and successful test period, Rak Bud awarded a contract for new production pallets UPadvanced by the end of 2020. „A production pallet with very good static characteristics, a strong surface without joints, low deadweight and a very good price-performance ratio have been the key reasons for our decision“, explained Raczkowski.

Low deflection even under high loads

After a year in use, Bogdan Polinski is very satisfied with the result: „The UPadvanced provides all the opportunities – it is a true all-rounder.“ It enables the production of heavy and tall products in a very good quality, because the pallets hardly bend even under the heaviest loads. Due to the completely closed surface the product is well suited for both thin and large size products. Very important for the client was to invest in a pallet which enables the effortless construction of products in different formats. The very good stiffness and vibration transfer leads to positive results regarding the compression of the concrete products. The cycle times were reduced by more than 10 % on average in comparison to the previously used wooden production pallets. Furthermore, a considerable reduction in the amount of cement was reached. Due to the aforementioned low deadweight, UPadvanced pallets are easy to use and significantly less stressing for the machine than heavier pallets.

The customer emphasizes the great technical support during the testing phase and before the delivery. On the recommendation of MyWood and Marcel Wenta adjustments in the production cycle were made, to create ideal production-conditions. The core subjects were small and inexpensive things e.g. the brush cleaning, the spraying and the transport system. However, the arrangements have proven themselves to be very effective and significantly improved the outcome.

“It is the intention of MyWood to offer its customers a high-quality product on an attractive price level” said MyWood Sales Director Tobias Schmidt. „Using wood with mainly standing annual rings in the core gives more stability to the board. The E-modulus is 12.700 N/mm² and therefore much better than most pallets available on the market. The plastic-coating ensures that the bottom of the final product is smooth and flat.”
