Stürzl appointed to the board
Nikolaus Peter Wild (61) will resign as chairman of the management board of Schöck AG as well as chairman of the management of Schöck Bauteile GmbH, for personal reasons, and will not renew his contract expiring on December 31, 2014. He will remain in his position as chairman of the management board bearing overall responsibility until the end of 2014, thus being actively involved in shaping the generational change in the management team.
In the course of the reorientation, the supervisory board has appointed Thomas Stürzl (52), who has been commercial manager of the Schöck Group since August 2013, to the management board (Commercial Director). From January 2015, Stürzl will manage the Schöck Group equally cooperating with the directors Dr.-Ing. Harald Braasch (Technology) and Michael Schmitz (Marketing).
Lifetime achievement successfully continued
The supervisory board as well as the Schöck family appreciate the continuity maintained in the business management by appointing Thomas Stürzl, wishing him good luck in his future tasks. In their opinion, this is a good basis for consistent continuation of the success story of Schöck. “In the past 13 years, Nikolaus Wild has further developed the entrepreneurial life achievement of the company founder, Eberhard Schöck, successfully opening up a new dimension with growing international character. The generational change initiated now, starting from the beginning of 2015, sets the course for a promising future of the Schöck Group,” praised Alfons Hörmann, chairman of the supervisory board.
Profitable growth
Nikolaus Wild became chairman of the management board of Schöck AG in September 2001. During his time in office, the strategic thrust of innovation and internationalization was rigorously and successfully implemented following a successful reorganization and restructuring process. The result was sustained profitable growth as well as gradual enhancement in value of the Schöck Group.
