Swiss Company AES acquires Züblin
Maschinen- und Anlagenbau
As of October 1, 2011, Ed. Züblin AG, Stuttgart, sells the business activties of its subsidiary Züblin Maschinen- und Anlagenbau GmbH (Züblin MAB) to apilion machines + services GmbH, a subsidiary of AES Advanced Engineering Solutions GmbH, Zurich (Switzerland). Corresponding contracts were agreed by both parties. It was also agreed that the settlement price would remain confidential.
Ed. Züblin AG employs approximately 13.000 staff members and with an annual performance of about 2,5 bn Euros is counted among the leading German building companies. Züblin MAB, one of the world leading manufacturers of cage welding machines, located in Kehl/Rhein, designs and produces bespoke special machines, for the production of reinforcement cages, reinforced concrete pipes by vibrating, centrifuging and rolling process methods, as well as poles and piles. The product range is completed by a separate mould construction department. Zublin MAB machines and plants are operating successfully in more than 50 countries worldwide. The change of ownership includes the transfer of the entire Zublin MAB work force, ensuring that their technical excellence and experience provides for an outstanding platform for the future development of the apilion machines + services’ business.
