European Industry Summit
The BIBM Congress, dear readers, is the European event of the precast industry: if you are working in precast concrete or if you are a supplier for the precast concrete sector, this is the event to be. BIBM, the Bureau International du Béton Manufacturé, is the Federation of the European Precast Concrete Industry and has been holding a major European congress every three years – lately every two years. From 27 to 29 September it will be held for the 24th time, this time in Amsterdam.
So this is not any random host, but the voice of the Precast Concrete Industry at the European level. BIBM provides a platform for a network of professionals, experts and industrialists involved in the precast concrete industry to come together and jointly address some key issues. BIBM moreover promotes the sharing of experience and information with its commissions and ad-hoc groups and, it goes without saying, with the platform of the BIBM Congress.
This year’s motto is “Green. Digital. Resilient – Precast Concrete Solutions.” This motto covers three highly
important topics concerning the future way of building. Like other sectors, the precast concrete industry, too, is well aware of the need to reduce its carbon footprint. Latest projects of Decarbonization, Circular Economy as well as Carbon Capture and Use (CCU) will be presented.
Also at this European industry summit – organized, as in previous year’s BIBM Congress in Copenhagen by the Building Congress Forum (BCF) – BFT will play a major role. For both events, more than 650 participants, 40 speakers and 80 exhibitors are expected.
