Interview: „Outstanding cooperation between Rampf
and Ebema“
In addition to the previous article, the BFT editorial team asked Bert Panis (Product Innovation Manager and responsible for mold purchasing at Ebema, among other things) and Bastian Gerhard (Field Sales for Germany, Belgium, the Netherlands and Luxembourg at Rampf) for a brief interview.
BFT International: Mr. Panis, how would you describe the relationship between Rampf and Ebema in a few words?
Bert Panis: For many years, I have been responsible for purchasing molds for Ebema. In the course of this time, I have acquired well-founded and comprehensive mold expertise. Ebema holds Rampf in high esteem as a highly reliable and innovative partner, one which maintains high standards and goal-oriented production.
The successful partnership is especially characterized by close collaboration with Bastian Gerhard, Sales Manager at Rampf, which enables continued exchange of ideas. This exchange has led to exceptional collaboration in developing this unique mold.
BFT International: Mr. Gerhard, is this mold, developed for Ebema, so to speak “standardware?”
Bastian Gerhard: First of all, I would like to return the compliment – we at Rampf are more than satisfied with the outstanding collaboration. It’s no exaggeration to claim that Ebema is one of our most loyal customers.
As to your question: As we have tried to explain in the preceding article, progressive, innovative product developments have also led to increasing demand for the molds required for them. These are often special designs that serve to precisely image the unique product characteristics of our innovations.
BFT International: Is there a plan to make this new special mold available as well to other interested manufacturers?
Bert Panis: Yes, this innovative mold will be marketed through Rampf’s worldwide sales network. Interested customers who buy such a mold will work directly with us – i.e., the company Ebema – within the scope of a license agreement.
BFT International: Mr. Panis, Mr. Gerhard, many thanks for the conversation und much success furthermore!
