New functions for precast design and detailing in Allplan 2024
The most accurate planning quality, higher productivity, and easier collaboration – that’s Allplan 2024 in a nutshell. While the 2023 release focused on the integration of precast functions into Allplan AEC, the focus in 2024 is on high-performance workflows. Here you can find an overview of the innovations that Allplan 2024 has in store for precast design and detailing.
Easier handling of fixtures
Easy handling of embedded elements is essential for precast designers, because almost every single precast element requires specific fixtures. However, since there are many different manufacturers, this used to require a lot of effort for planning, invoicing, and production. With Allplan 2024, fixtures can now be used in the main library for easier and more efficient management of embedded elements.
In addition, the new version offers improved options for placing fixtures, such as intuitively placing them directly in a 3D viewport. Users can also modify fixtures via handles and direct object modification, as well as call up attributes in the palette. These improvements save time and significantly increase the design quality.
Optimized reinforcement functions for mesh welding systems
Precast manufacturers are finding it increasingly difficult to find qualified personnel – especially for production. This makes increasing the degree of automation in the factory all the more important. Ideally, the production of basic reinforcement in precast plants should be fully automated, while also using the latest machine functions. This is precisely where Allplan 2024 comes in: the new version offers numerous practical enhancements for existing automated processes for mesh welding systems. Attributes can now be added to reinforcement groups, such as a common delivery date or different statuses.
Furthermore, there are also improvements to the labeling and object tree. When creating automated reinforcement, Allplan now takes into account the concrete cover of profiles at precast joints. These innovations speed up precast workflows while ensuring maximum quality.
User interface: clear and concise
Allplan 2024 also offers even better performance for precast design, better coordinated workflows, and a more user-friendly interface. After the integration of precast planning functions in Allplan 2023, one of the focal points for version 2024 was the comprehensive harmonization of workflows. As a result, users can find their way around more easily and thus plan more quickly.
In addition, the user interface is tidier, clearer, and above all, significantly faster. It is now possible to make changes directly via the context toolbar. In addition, the context menu has also been designed to be more efficient. With the local coordinate system and the interactive span direction, users have full control over the dimensions of the object. Altogether, these improvements make it easier for planners to keep track of their projects.
New: Allplan as a subscription
Allplan is now also available simply and conveniently as a subscription option. Allplan Precast Premium offers everything a highly automated precast manufacturer could wish for: sophisticated workflows for the highly automated design and production of slabs and walls, optimal connection to ERP, MWS, and MES, and access to Allplan Cloud Services for seamless collaboration between all project partners.
In summary, Allplan 2024 offers powerful and automated planning tools, integrated cloud-based processes, and advanced BIM workflows. Allplan 2024 and the free, 14-day trial version are available for download now.
