Successful in-house exhibition with international guests

On 25 September 2024, customers and partners from all over the world were invited to an in-house exhibition at QGM in Quanzhou, China. Many interested parties accepted the invitation and took the opportunity to tour QGM production sites in China and to enjoy an overview of the company’s machine program.

During the opening ceremony, the guests were welcomed by Binghuang Fu, the Chairman of QGM and Zenith. In his speech, he emphasized the outstanding collaboration between the two companies, which began exactly ten years ago when QGM took over Zenith. For the future, he sees continued positive development based on close collaboration between QGM and Zenith in the areas of environmental friendliness. Next, Heiko Boes, Senior Vice President of Zenith, took the floor and likewise praised the good relationship between QGM and Zenith – as well as significant success in the concrete block sector as a result of the combined efforts.

The official part of the event was followed by an informal get-together. The guests had the opportunity to discuss the latest developments with the experts of both companies, to ask questions and to address their own issues.

Three complete, fully automatic circulation systems and five semi-automatic production lines

After these events, the guests obtained a first-hand impression of the production possibilities and capacities of QGM. The tour of the plant began in the production halls for machines and other equipment: these included such systems as circular components, on an area of 130,000 m² and extending over more than 40,000 m². The guests were especially impressed by the size of the two halls.

The exhibited machine program was equally impressive. Visitors witnessed demonstrations, which included the ZN2000-C pallet machine. This machine is designed for high productivity and features a two-part vibrating table, which is equipped with eight servomotors. In its development, user-friendliness was considered in addition to high performance, with the result that maintenance, thanks to the modular design, can be carried out without great effort. To be able to address a still wider group of customers, QGM has not only invested in upgrading its classic concrete block machines but has also introduced new machines to the market. The visitors were therefore able to see, among other models, the ZN900-VP and ZN1500-VP. Machines of this type are a combination of concrete block machines and hydraulic presses. They can, for example, process recycled solid waste and industrial wastes and manufacture recycling products of great density. It is possible to select and adjust the operating pressure to a maximum of 1,500 tons. Another new development presented was a hermetic press which likewise operates with high compression levels. This machine was developed for manufacturing products with surfaces featuring marble or granite optics. The demonstration of the machine program was rounded off by various systems for finishing concrete blocks, for processes such as splitting, polishing and sandblasting.

Innovative technical solutions for the concrete block industry

In the second plant with production halls of 9,000 m² on an area of 12,000 m², the visitors had the opportunity to view form production. Over the past four years, QGM has invested in the development of its own form mold production and is now able to plan and manufacture concrete block forms for machines to the requirements of various manufacturers. A digital management system is used to optimize work processes such that the production times of the molds can be significantly reduced.

The in-house exhibition was a great success for QGM and Zenith and will surely be remembered by their guests for a long time. The visitors were able to gather many impressions, and the direct exchange between customers and manufacturers yielded new insights of value for future developments. United in their passion for innovative technical solutions for the concrete block industry, QGM and Zenith will continue to work closely together with their customers.
