Anchor fixings in concrete: Model for realistic calculation of elastic anchor plates

The software provider, Dr. Li Anchor Profi GmbH, provides the third-party anchor design software Anchor Profi. With Anchor Profi user can design, compare and select the heavy duty anchors and headed studs of 24 different manufacturers around the world independently. The anchor design software can design multiple anchor fastenings with any anchor layout and any base plate geometry. With the unique elastic base plate model and the stiffness condition to check the rigid base plate assumption, the possible vulnerability in the anchor design from the rigid base plate assumption without validating its stiffness can be avoided.
Safety and design concept
The anchor design is based on ETAG 001 Annex C, EOTA TR029, EOTA TR061, EOTA TR045, CEN/TS 1992-4-2, Eurocode 2 Part 4 (EN 1992-4), USA ACI 318, Australian AS 5216 and Canadian CSA A23.3. More than 265 European ETAs and American ESRs are integrated in the anchor software currently. This ensures that complex anchoring projects under static, seismic and fatigue loading can be effectively processed according to the European and American safety and design concepts.

- Load cases can be imported from the Excel file.
- Enable to save project info as template. The project info saved as a template is automatically loaded into the project file after each program start.
- After starting the program, the default design method is set to Eurocode 2.
- In the case of multi-design, the user can select which anchors to include in the print list.
- Anchor selection hints for headed studs, screw anchors and drop-in anchors added into tooltips.
- hef for dynamic anchors becomes visible on the user interface.
- FEA and anchor design are carried out for profile stiffeners with an overlap area of up to 3%.
- In design report, the profile stiffening data are illustrated with stiffening diagram.
- The button "User-defined profile dimensions" becomes easily recognizable.
- For anchorage with tension supplement reinforcement, the limit of the edge distance for the blow-out verification is set from 0.5hef to 2hef.
- In the detailed design report, the load interaction for combined tension and shear is printed only for the related anchors and with separation of steel and concrete failure.
- In verification of required base plate stiffness for rigid base plate assumption, the distribution of the base plate bending stress and concrete compressive stress under the base plate is shown in the design report with an image.
- The FE module for baseplates, profiles and stiffeners is packed into one DLL.
- Fixed a bug when rotating 90° of rectangular hollow sections.
- Anchor database is updated. Over 265 ETAs/ESRs are in the program. 15 new ETAs/ESRs are added in this update. There are 4 dynamic anchors for fatigue loads. Over 20 ETAs/ESRs have been updated.
- Internal improvement and optimization.
