The starting shot has sounded for the competition for the 2021 Innovation Prize of the Supplier Industry for Concrete Components. The competition organizers are looking for innovative products, processes and services involved in the manufacture of structural concrete elements and other concrete products that enhance the state of the art, save time and money in the production process and/or contribute toward optimization in construction work. Interested companies are invited to submit their documentation by 30 November 2020. Key selection criteria are the degree of innovation and the originality of the proposal, relevance for the precast industry as well as market and application potential.
Prize organizers will assess new developments from the following fields: manufacturing technology/ product handling, machine and plant engineering, reinforcement fastening technology, concrete technology as well as automation and services.
Eligible for participation are companies and research institutes from the mechanical engineering, software and supplier industries for concrete components. Innovations for the competition must not be more than two years old at the time of submission, and for which proprietary rights and/or usage rights have been granted.
The prize has been sponsored since 2002 by FBF Betondienst GmbH, organizer of the BetonTage, jointly with the technical journal BFT International Betonwerk + Fertigteil-Technik, media partner for the BetonTage. The competition emphasizes the significance of innovations for the precast concrete sector and offers an outstanding platform for the innovation potential of the supplier industry.
