Tested fastening systems guarantee cost-efficient construction
In concrete construction and especially in precast construction innovative system solutions are more and more applied, which make the construction method not just more efficient and cost-effective, but also more reliable. Thus, for example, special anchor systems for transportation or wire loop systems on the wall connection combine up-to-date efficiency with high quality performance and safety. VBBF, „Verein zur Förderung und Entwicklung der Befestigungs-, Bewehrungs- und Fassadentechnik e. V.“ (German association for the promotion and development of fastening, reinforcement and façade technology), would like to introduce such innovative technologies to the users and familiarize them with the same. For this purpose, well-known German manufacturers have united, in order to help jointly the advanced concrete construction methods to get accepted as well as to establish a high quality standard for mounting parts in manufacturing, product testing and expert service. For all these companies research and development and a high quality standard are an integral part of their company philosophy.
Transport anchor systems increase the safety when lifting, transporting and assembling any precast concrete component and moreover, they comply with the “safety rules for anchors and transport anchor systems of precast concrete components” (BGR 106) of the “Hauptverband der gewerblichen Berufsgenossenschaften” (German Federation of institutions for statutory accident insurance and prevention). Quality products are to be distinguished by clearly given details about load-bearing capacity, edge distance and mounting parameters in the documentation of the manufacturer. Products without such necessary documentation must not be applied, because they do not comply with the above mentioned rules and regulations.
