For the first time as an exhibitor at the Middle East Concrete in Dubai
02.08.2021From September 12 to 15, 2021, the “Middle East Concrete” trade fair, which is one of the BIG 5 construction fairs, will take place in Dubai, the capital of the Emirate of Dubai and the largest city in the United Arab Emirates. It is the largest event in the region that deals with the topics of infrastructure and concrete construction. For the first time, Durcrete GmbH from Limburg will also take part in this fair. The Durcrete stand (stand no. 8 D 344) is part of the official German joint stand, at which a total of 30 German companies from the concrete and construction sectors are represented.
UHPC concretes and their applications in the focus of the trade fair appearance
Durcrete GmbH, a technology partner of Dyckerhoff GmbH in Wiesbaden, is primarily concerned with ready-to-use solutions using modern high-performance concrete (Ultra High Performance Concrete - UHPC for short). UHPC concretes based on the high-performance binder Dyckerhoff Nanodur are now successfully used in numerous areas of construction - such as on facades, bridges or in hydraulic engineering. These mostly very spectacular and fascinating examples are also the focus of the trade fair appearance in Dubai on the basis of large displays. Among other things, the unique facade of the new Manateq headquarters in Doha / Qatar and the Walser Bridge, a UHPC bridge in the Bavarian town of Oberstdorf, will be shown. Also parabolic troughs made of Nanodur concrete for solar thermal power plants and concrete towers made of UHPC for modern wind turbines.
