Topwerk Group expands in North America and announces new President & CEO for North and Central America, Chad Rathke

Topwerk Group, a world-wide leading supplier of machinery and equipment for shaping and finishing of concrete products, is pleased to announce, effective July 1, 2020, the appointment of Mr. Chad Rathke to the position of President and CEO of Topwerk America, the North and Central American division of Topwerk Group, responsible for all Product Houses: Hess Group, SR Schindler, Prinzing Pfeiffer and Hess AAC Systems.
“Chad Rathke is a highly regarded professional with the meaningful industry background required to lead our future growth in one of our most important and established markets,” states Mr. Robert Gruss, CEO of Topwerk Group. “This appointment is part of our overall plan to expand our presence in the United States by opening the Topwerk America office in Houston, Texas.”
Gudrun Hess will continue as President of newly named Topwerk Services in Burlington, Ontario, a service center that has supported the North American market for nearly 40 years. “Chad is the ideal person to work with our existing team in North America to assure our substantial and growing customer base will be fully supported,” adds Ms. Hess. “We will continue to support our Canadian and US customers with excellent services, spare parts and phone support out of our Burlington location.”
Chad Rathke new President & CEO for North and Central America
Chad Rathke is very familiar with the concrete products industry in North America. This includes substantial years of experience with value-added equipment systems, mixing and batching equipment and concrete and paver production equipment. He most recently was Director of Sales for Columbia Steel Casting Co., Inc., Portland, Oregon, a manufacturer of replacement wear parts used in surface mining, scrap recycling and cement operations, serving customers all around the world.
Although Chad’s ultimate role is CEO, he will focus much of his initial efforts on the SR Schindler company line of hermetic slab presses and value-adding machinery as their Regional Director of Sales.

Having the opportunity to work with a strong organization and help expand the presence of Topwerk with the addition of our new Houston office will increase our ability to service and support our existing customer base for Hess Group, SR Schindler, Prinzing Pfeiffer and Hess AAC Systems.
