On the occasion of the network meeting of the BDB at the end of October 2009 Progress Group invited the 30 participants to visit the company‘s headquarters in Brixen, South Tyrol (Italy). The modern mechanical engineering building as well as the company‘s own circulation system for wall and floor elements attracted wide interest among the visitors. Editorial staff of the BFT INTERNATIONAL was there to report to you.

Corporate structure

Progress Group is basically divided into two business units: the mechanical engineering branch comprising the companies progress Maschinen & Automation and Ebawe Anlagentechnik, on the one hand, and the branch precast concrete components and building materials, on the other hand.

Initially, the unit mechanical engineering had been developed because of the necessity to build own machinery and plants for the production of wall and floor elements. But, soon afterwards the new machinery developments were sold to third parties as well and the branch mechanical engineering...
