Anniversary: 50 years of innovation for the concrete industry
“50 years may seem like a long time. For me, they were 50 easy years, with difficult and happy moments, full of satisfaction, because I had close friends who helped me, taught me, and were good to me. I believe there were more happy moments than difficult ones.” With these emotional words, Lamberto Marcantonini looks back on 50 years of company history.
Company anniversary festivities took place from 8 to 10 September in Bettona in Italy, the headquarters of the Marcantonini company. Many friends and business partners as well as many staff members – among them also former colleagues – made a big celebration out of the anniversary.
On 8 September, the host and guests visited the plant of the precast manufacturer Querzoli in Forlì, about 50 km northwest of Rimini. The plant is equipped with highly automated machinery and plant systems from Marcantonini. On 9 September, celebration participants visited the historic center of Bettona and its museum –the home town of the founder of the company Lamberto Marc-antonini.
The book “50 Years of Innovation for the Concrete Industry” was published on the occasion of the anniversary. It had been written by the especially commissioned journalist Gianfranco Ricci. The book, which contains stories involving the development of the company Marcantonini, was presented at the gala dinner.
