Environmentally beneficial concrete lanes for Central Bus Station
In the city of Dortmund, mitigating environmental impact has always been high on the agenda, even before the European Union imposed the new annual mean limit of 40 µg/m³ for nitrogen dioxide across Europe. This is why various parking and traffic areas were already built in photocatalytic concrete, including near the former Union Brewery tower and the heavily polluted Wallring. Just recently, the photocatalytically active TioCem cement supplied by HeidelbergCement has also been used for the complete revamp and reconstruction of the Central Bus Station in the Dortmund district of Mengede.
