New toothed strap for precast concrete elements
At this year‘s bauma in Munich, Jordahl GmbH presented a new product for the precast concrete industry: The toothed strap. The JVB-V system joins together precast concrete elements quickly and securely. With this, the Berlin specialist for fastening technology is extending its standard product range for precast concrete elements.
The system developed consists of the tried and tested Jordahl anchor channels and a special strap made of electro zinc-plated steel or optionally stainless steel.
New solution for an immediate frictional connection
In contrast to methods whereby the precast elements are connected using steel dowel and grout, the new solution constitutes an immediate frictional connection. Additional elements for mounting retention are thus no longer used, resulting in a significant time advantage, since time is no longer wasted waiting for the grout to set. In comparison with the connection of precast element and column using brackets, the Jordahl system offers the advantage of complete verifiability for the complete connection.
The JVB-V series of the Berlin company is available in the load capacities 17.2, 10 and 5 kN. The 5 kN variant was designed for up to 80 mm-thin concrete elements and is characterized by a particularly small structural form. Whilst the largest strap constitutes the first completely verifiable solution with a load bearing capacity of 17.2 kN.
