Engineering Days 29-30.11.2022:
Prefabrication in the New Normal

What impact do the global pandemic, shortage of skilled labor, and climate change the have on the precast industry? Where are the challenges and opportunities for the future? These and other questions will be discussed at the Engineering Days from November 29-30, 2022 at the Kongresshaus Salzburg.

  The conference sees itself as a global platform for specialists from the precast concrete industry and experienced a record year in 2019 with more than 500 trade visitors from 22 countries, 22 lectures and 19 workshops. The congress is organized for the ninth time by the event trio Allplan Software Engineering, RIB SAA Software Engineering, and Prilhofer Consulting.

Expanding Knowledge, Networking, Exchange

This year’s conference will focus on “Prefabrication in the New Normal”. In presentations, workshops, and discussion panels, the Engineering Days will shed light on the current challenges of the precast industry from different angles and highlight possible solutions.

The event will kick off with the opening lecture by Michael Pisecky on the topic of “Development of the DACH construction industry after Covid”. The Managing Director of S Real Immobilienvermittlung GmbH will, among other things, provide an outlook on the future of the construction industry in the regions of Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. Subsequently, participants can look forward to the keynote by Christian Prilhofer, Managing Director of Prilhofer Consulting, on “Building systems in the light of the climate crisis”. Afterwards, Dr. Gerhard Schuster, Managing Director of Aspern Vienna’s Urban Lakeside, will take the lectern and present one of Europe’s largest urban development projects: the best practice adopted for “Aspern: Vienna’s Urban Lakeside” shows how sustainable and innovative construction projects can be realized.

Topics: from Reinforcement to Sustainability and Business Resilience

On day one, visitors can look forward to sessions on “From the Precast Plant to the Building“,”The Future of Reinforcement – Reinforcement of the Future“, and “Success factor Digitalization”. Further exciting developments on “Sustainability in the precast factory” and “Formwork Technology: From Trend to Practice” are on the agenda for the second day. The crowning finale will be a presentation by Mag. Christof Stögerer, member of the WU Executive Academy, and Dr. Vladimir Preveden, Strategic Consultant and Interim Manager at Invios Innovative Immuno-Oncology. The lecture is dedicated to the current topic of business resilience and how this magic formula helps with surviving a crisis(es).
