Prefabrication in transition: Building a successful future through innovation

What innovations will enable the precast industry to move forward with strength and confidence? What are the answers to sustainability and artificial intelligence? And how will the industry evolve economically in general? These and other questions will be discussed at the Engineering Days from November 26—27, 2024 at the Kongresshaus Salzburg. The conference sees itself as a global platform for specialists from the precast concrete industry and experienced a record year in 2022 with more than 420 trade visitors, 42 exhibitors, 21 lectures, and 20 workshops. The Engineering Days 2024 are also set to increase in size, as the exhibition is already almost fully booked. The congress is organized for the tenth time by the event trio ALLPLAN Software Engineering, RIB SAA Software Engineering, and Prilhofer Consulting.

Expanding Knowledge, Networking, Exchange

This year’s conference will focus on “Prefabrication in transition: Building a successful future through innovation”. In presentations, workshops, and discussion panels, the Engineering Days will shed light on the current challenges of the precast industry from different angles and highlight possible solutions.

The event will kick off with a lecture by Dipl.-Kfm. Christian H. D. Haak on the topic of “The #Future.Build. - Transformation for the success of tomorrow”. The podcaster and Managing Director of AFU Unternehmensberatung GmbH will, among other things, provide an outlook on the economic future of the construction industry. Subsequently, participants can look forward to the keynote by Dr.-Ing. Markus König, Professor of Building Informatics at the Ruhr University Bochum, on “What opportunities does AI offer the construction industry?”.

Topics: Digital Transformation, Sustainability, and Innovation

The afternoon sessions will focus on the opportunities presented by the use of digital technologies and artificial intelligence, the quest for greater sustainability and energy efficiency, as well as innovations and new products in the precast industry. The first day will conclude with a panel discussion on the theme of the Engineering Days 2024 „Prefabrication in transition: Building a successful future through innovation“. On November 27, the second day of the Engineering Days will kick off with some 20 workshops. In the afternoon, attendees will gather again in the plenary session for inspiring insights into real-world applications.
