(57) A connectable panel for a stay-in-place modular concrete formwork system neatly stacks with other identical connectable panels. In a stack of such panels, the connecting means at either end of a particular connectable panel is protected from bending and distortion from the weight of other panels above it. Each connectable panel has a middle section and connecting means at two connecting sections at opposite ends of the panels. The sum of the widths of the two connecting sections, including their respective connecting means, is equal to or less than the width of the middle section including projections extending from the middle section. Formwork for cylindrical structures of varying diameters may be assembled with the connectable panels, connectors, and a series of identical insulation inserts.
