Engineering Days 2022

Engineering Days 2022: Networking in the precast industry

After a break due to the pandemic, the Engineering Days event took place on November 29 and 30, 2022 at the Congress Haus Salzburg. More than 420 experts from the precast concrete industry learned about the latest trends in the industry and took advantage of the numerous networking opportunities. The focus of this year‘s event was “Prefabrication in the New Reality”. The program included a total of 21 technical presentations and 20 practical workshops.

Relevant industry contacts

“The day before the Engineering Days, I spontaneously decided to go to Salzburg. It was my first time at the Precast Concrete Congress, and I found it an extremely successful event. After just one and a half hours, I was able to make four very interesting and relevant industry contacts. The event is not big, but the right people are there,” stresses Andreas Bauer, CEO and founder of Pro Engineers AG from Switzerland.

Sustainability and business resilience

In terms of content, the Engineering Days addressed current topics, such as sustainability in the construction industry and business resilience. It spanned a broad spectrum of topics, from innovative dry connections and carbon concrete to practical examples, improvements in reinforcement, precast planning and production, and cyber security.

BFT International again as exhibitor in Salzburg

More than 40 companies from the fields of plant engineering, automation technology, CAD, ERP systems, and other related trades attended the event, which was well received and provided possibilities for professional exchange. The BFT International team, represented by Karla Knitter and Jens Maurus, was again in attendance with an exhibition stand and used the congress for exciting discussions with familiar and new faces.

During the breaks, the 5-star Hotel Sheraton Grand Salzburg spoiled the visitors with culinary delights. The organizers – Allplan Software Engineering, RIB SAA Software Engineering, and Prilhofer Consulting – are already looking forward to the next Engineering Days on 26 and 27 November, 2024 in Salzburg.

Satisfied organizers

The organizers draw a very positive conclusion from the event: “At the beginning of the planning, we were still somewhat skeptical about how the pandemic would affect our event. But 420 participants (almost the same number as before the pandemic) speak for themselves. This proves how much attendees value it, and we are motivated to make Engineering Days 2024 a great industry conference after this year’s fantastic turn out.”
