Engineering Days 2024: Precast industry cautiously optimistic

The approximately 360 precast industry experts attending Engineering Days 2024 at Salzburg Congress are optimistic about the future of prefabrication. On November 26 and 27, the participants discussed how precast can successfully shape the future through innovation. Despite the difficult economic situation, the atmosphere was upbeat, with new industry contacts being made, plans being drawn up, and innovative ideas being generated.

Focus on AI & Sustainability

The participants learned about the latest trends in the precast concrete industry and took advantage of the many networking opportunities. The theme of this year‘s event was „Prefabrication in Transition: Building a Successful Future through Innovation!“ The program included a total of 16 lectures and 20 hands-on workshops.

The Engineering Days covered hot topics such as artificial intelligence, digital trends, sustainability in construction, and efficient reinforcement. In addition, innovative companies presented numerous market innovations and successful practical examples.

New exhibitor record

The exhibition, with 43 companies, was particularly well received and provided ample space for professional exchange. During the breaks, the 5-star Sheraton Grand Salzburg Hotel pampered visitors with culinary delights. The first day ended with a panel discussion and a successful gala dinner at the Pitter Restaurant in Imlau.

The organizers, Allplan Software Engineering, RIB and Prilhofer Consulting, were very pleased with the event: „We very much appreciate the fact that almost the same number of companies came to the Engineering Days in 2024 as in 2022. This underlines the great confidence that professionals have in our event and the topics we address.” The three organizers are already looking forward to the next Engineering Days on December 1-2, 2026 in Salzburg.
