HA-BE BETONCHEMIE

Pinpoint regulation of concrete viscosity

The right rheology of concrete determines success or failure when placing concrete. However, the concrete is often sticky, sediments, causes stoppers in the pump or is too stiff for being placed. This is where Ha-Be Betonchemie GmbH comes in with the newly developed product series for a pinpoint control of concrete rheology. With the innovative Pantarheo product line, manufacturers can set the viscosity of their concrete precisely, thus improving the economic and ecological balance of their concrete production.

Product portfolio for any rheological requirement

The Pantarheo series basically comprises three different products, so as to meet the various requirements in the production of concrete: Pantarheo FA25 (ST), Pantarheo SE10 (BV) and Pantarheo VMA 35 (VM).

Pantarheo FA25 (ST)

Pantarheo FA25 (ST) has especially been developed for concrete mixtures where the use of fly ash is limited or not possible at all or where crushed aggregates or recycled materials are used. In these cases, there is a lack of ultra-fine particles, creating a ball-bearing effect. Pantarheo FA25 (ST) creates this effect and replaces the ultra-fine content in the concrete mixture. Thus, the flow property, workability, pumpability, compacting behavior, smoothing property and durability of the concrete are improved considerably.

Pantarheo SE10 (BV)

Concretes with poor pumping characteristics are challenging for a smooth concrete placing process. Pantarheo SE10 (BV) is the solution when concrete types of high quality reach their limits and an improved pumpability is searched for. These admixtures allow overcoming larger distances in shorter times and increasing the efficiency of concreting.

The viscosity of concrete is reduced by the addition of Pantarheo SE10 (BV). This can increase the flow rate by more than 65 %, while reducing the pump pressure by more than 50 %. These improvements enable faster concrete placement, which saves time, resources and costs.

Pantarheo VMA 35 (VM)

Pantarheo VMA 35 (VM) is a high-performance rheology regulating agent, providing for the cohesion of the concrete mixture even in case of very high consistencies. By using the admixture, it is possible to reduce the ultra-fine content in the concrete mixture and to optimize the binder content. This not only ensures an improved carbon footprint but also a reduction in costs.

It can be concluded that the introduction of the Pantarheo series provides concrete manufacturers with the possibility to control the viscosity of concrete according to the specific requirements in a precise manner. The new product portfolio offers effective aids in order to optimize the production process, with gaining competitive advantages.
