HPL – the new Hess Production Logistics system
There is no such thing as stagnation at the engineering company based in Burbach-Wahlbach. The supplier is constantly looking for new development opportunities backed by annual sales of approx. 180 million € achieved across the entire Hess group. At the beginning of 2009, Hess Maschinenfabrik GmbH & Co. KG has begun to integrate a comprehensive logistics system into the production process.
Especially against the backdrop of the current situation, the Hess group of companies has identified the opportunity to optimize its service, cost and production workflow to the benefit of its customers. The company decided to launch a large-scale project called HPL (Hess Production Logistics), which will bring about many advantages for its customers. The sizeable investment of about 2 million euros will ensure an optimal production environment for HESS Maschinenfabrik in the long term.
