Post Installation of prefab-balcony systems
Building on a postage stamp has become very common. This requires builders to adhere to a tight schedule to ensure the construction project runs smoothly. In order to support building contractors in this process, Schöck has developed various systems for retrofit installation of balconies. With these systems balconies can, in many cases, be anchored from the crane in minutes and lengthy supporting is a thing of the past. Thanks to the various post installation systems, contractors can build more flexibly, efficiently, and quickly. All with the same reliable connection technology Schöck is known for.
Schöck IQlick type A
The new Schöck Isokorf IQlick system allows balconies to be anchored in just 15-25 minutes, from the crane.
The anchor consists of two components, with an Isokorf element cast into both the floor and balcony element, using a special jig. During installation at the building site, the threaded rods of the balcony are attached to the special mounting plate in the floor with two nuts. The recesses are then filled with grout for an even finish.
Schöck IQlick type B
The IQlick type B, like the type A, uses retrofitting from the crane. With this system, the coupling also consists of two parts. Unlike type A, with type B the anchor plate is installed in the balcony. The façade can already be completely finished and waterproofed, after which the balconies are attached. The recesses are then filled with grout for an even finish.
Schöck IDock
The Schöck IDock system consists of edge and recess elements. These elements are placed prior to pouring the concrete floor and are removed from the floor after curing. The resulting recesses are intended for later anchoring of the precast balconies with Schöck Isokorf elements. The rods of the integrated Isokorf elements are pushed into the recesses, and the balcony is temporarily propped in place. The recesses are filled with special pourable grout, and the supporting can be removed after 24 to 72 hours, at which time the balconies are ready for use. The perfect solution for use with the tunnel-forming method.
