NPCA president retires at the end of 2019
09.01.2019In an open letter, the National Precast Concrete Association (NPCA), the association of precast concrete manufacturers in the United States of America, informed its members and partners that Ty Gable, current president of NPCA, will retire on Dec. 31, 2019.
Ashley Smith, NPCA’s chairman of the Board at that time, appointed a seven-member Search Committee to recruit Ty’s successor. The committee is comprised of two Board officers and a cross-section of NPCA members. As the current NPCA chairman of the Board, Mike Hoffman will chair the Search Committee, joined by Jon Ohmes, NPCA chairman-elect. Joining are NPCA members Barry Fleck, John Lendrum, Stephanie Loud, Marianne Methven and Andrew Gillespie.
Cynthia Mills of The Leaders’ Haven will support the Committee through the process. She is one of the leading experts in executive searches.
The opening will officially be posted on April 1, and the Search Committee will work through the year to screen applicants and interview candidates. NPCA plans to make an official announcement in early October 2019, allowing up to three months of notice for the successful candidate, who would start on Jan. 2, 2020.
Ty Gable will continue to serve full-time as NPCA’s president until the start date of a new leader.
