Prefabricated composite floors
A so-called timber-concrete composite floor is a composite structure consisting of timber beams or panels and a concrete slab. These hybrid elements combine the properties of the two construction materials, which results in both technical and economic benefits. The system is mainly known as a solution for the expansion of attic space or for the refurbishment of existing timber floors. Only in recent years, timber-concrete composite floors have been increasingly used also in new construction.
